The BWT water softener resin cleaner and protection pack is perfect for keeping your water softener in tip top condition in between service vists. Beacause no matter how effective your water softener is at regenerating, it is inevitable that over time small particles from your incoming water supply may get left behind in the resin. These small particles not only reduce the efficiency of your water softener but can alsoprovide a place for germs to hide. Instructions for use:1. Lift, open or remove salt lid2. If your water softener is fitted with a brine well, remove the cap and pour the contents of the resin cleaner into the brine well. If your water softener does not have a brine well pour the contents fothe resin cleaner bottle directly into brine cabinet. (Never mix resin cleaner and resin protector in the same application).3. Replace the brine cap (if applicable) and the salt lid.4. Start a manual regeneration of your water softener. This regeneration will allow the product to be drawn in, automatically diluted and rinsed once it is brought into contact with the ion exchange resin contained in your softener.5. Repeat operation for the resin protector no sooner than 24 hours and no later than 7 days after using the resin cleaner.
